JChem Base license

ChemAxon has decided to stop including JChem Base in their academic license. Is there an alternative for VFLP?

Hi Ken,

At the moment there is no alternative, unfortunately. Many steps can be carried out by OpenBabel, but not all of them. And some of them only which considerable lower quality, e.g. the protonation of the compounds.

It seems like this is still the case as of June 2020.
Just to confirm, does your last reply indicate that there’s no way to run VFLP without JChem Base?
